Commitment to "Buy Irish"
Local sourcing of food not only contributes positively to local economies, it also reduces impacts to the environment. ARAMARK Ireland is making a concerted effort to use more locally sourced Irish produce in the meals it serves to more than a quarter of a million people each day throughout the country.

This effort is most visible during ARAMARK Ireland’s annual Celebrate Irish Food Campaign, which highlights and promotes the use of local produce in support of Irish farmers, suppliers and food producers. The week-long campaign was first introduced in 2010 as an extension of ARAMARK Ireland’s corporate responsibility commitments. During this year’s Celebrate Irish Food Campaign, ARAMARK Ireland served traditional Irish dishes at its dining locations and gave customers a recipe book featuring wholesome Irish recipes prepared by the Food Services team.
“Irish food is at the heart of our foodservice business and supporting Irish suppliers is very important to us,” said Donal O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of ARAMARK Ireland, in a speech at the campaign launch event. “We are committed to sourcing local produce from suppliers across the island of Ireland. Our research shows that the consumer is also aware of this and ARAMARK Ireland is proud to highlight the importance of wholesome Irish food in our industry with the ‘Celebrate Irish Food Campaign.’”
